Hawker Aircraft Limited was a British aircraft producer that has given many fabulous products for British aviation industry.

The formation of Hawker Aircraft goes back to the post World War I. After World War I the Sopwith Aviation Company got bankrupted. Harry Hawker who was test pilot at Sopwith, along with Thomas Sopwith brought assets of the bankrupted company and formed a new company H.G. Hawker Engeneering.

Later in 1933 the newly formed company got its new name, Hawker Aircraft Limited. The company took advantage of the great depression and showed its strong finanacial position. They purchased Gloster Aircraft Company.

Hawker Aircraft manufactures business jet aircraft. Hawker 800A aircraft is business jet plane and is also one of the longest running business jet aircraft. The Hawker 800A aircraft was a development of DH-125 which was manufactured in August 1962. Hawker jet planes were offered in different variants those came with a RoolsRoyce Viper turbojet engine. The 125-700 got its first flight marked in 1976 and was replaced by 125-800 in 1984.

The newly designed aircraft featured a lot of improvements which include redesigned windshield and nose, greater span wing, extended fin leading edge and increased lift with decreased fuel consumption. The range of the Hawker 800A aircraft was further increased with ventral fuel tank. The business jet also received refinement in the interior which gave a luxury feel, the pilot cockpit received Collins Proline 21 avionics. The 800A also was the first aircraft to feature EFIS cockpit and Collins Pro 21 avionics. The 800A was offered for US market and the 800B was for markets other than the US.

Hawker 700A aircraft was successor of the HS-125 and was developed by DE Havilland. The Hawker 700A aircraft marked its first flight in 1976, having updates like turbo fan engines which made the aircraft to consume less fuel and increased performance. The jet airplane was also with horizontal stabilizer mounted on the tail. Inside space has passenger seating space for 14 and crew of 2. The Hawker 700A aircraft is capable enough to cruise at 437 knots and also comes with an extended range of 2420 nautical miles
